Domande · FAQ
Catania (CTA) is the best choice, with direct flights from Prague, for example. From the airport it’s about a 1.5-hour drive to Scicli.
If you want complete freedom to explore Sicily’s hidden corners, we recommend a car. But it’s not a must. You can reach us from Catania by train or bus, and in Scicli everything is within reach. The beach is an easy local bus ride away, and you can explore the nearby baroque towns by train.
You can park for free anywhere near Via Asmara. We’ll share a few tips before you arrive.
It’s up to you. There are quite a few stairs in the house and in the surrounding lanes. That said, children have stayed with us and loved it – especially playing outside with the local kids. Just keep in mind there are only 2 beds.
Summer here is beautiful and full of life, but if you ask for our personal opinion, September is the perfect month. Spring and autumn are lovely too. And in winter it’s a pleasant escape from the cold up north.
Scicli is a mid-sized town where everything is close. Supermarkets and restaurants are about a 10-minute walk from the house, and a small local grocery is literally round the corner.
We hand over the keys in person right at the house. Check-out is by 11:00. Just close the door behind you, leave the keys on the table and take all your memories with you.
Yes, we made sure of it. Unlike many places to stay in Italy, you’ll find a dedicated desk, a quality external monitor, an ergonomic chair and reliable, fast Wi-Fi.
